Kairos

The artist Margit Jäschke describes herself as a wanderer between art worlds. Transcending the common boundaries of installation, painting, sculpture and art jewellery, she has created a distinctly individual oeuvre. Deliberately blurring the distinction between wearable jewellery and autonomous works of art, she emphasises details that evoke different associations in different viewers.

The jewellery artist describes her approach as follows: »If you ask me about the ›leitmotif‹ running through my work, my main priority is not on ideas, concepts, materials or processes, but I try to be aware of ›when the moment is right.‹« The relevant Greek god Kairos stands for auspicious moments that we ought to seize lest they pass us by.
