Do you love fashion? Love the French language? In six courses both of these passions collide. You will dive into the mythical world of haute couture, de history of France’s greatest couturiers and discover the most discussed collections. All while improving your French!
Maria Chalevelaki, PhD in Language Sciences and with a PhD’s thesis about the object and identity of the luxury brands, will conduct this workshop.
The workshop offers a dive into the mythical world of haute couture, a focus on the history of a first series of selected French “Grands couturiers”, and an insight on the most trendy French collections in French: Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Christian Lacroix and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
This series of 6 French courses of 2 hours is proposed by the Alliance Française Amsterdam at Centrale OBA (Amsterdam Public Library).
A French B1 level is required to enrol in this workshop.
Dates: 19th of February to 2nd April 2018 (Monday evenings).
